Vanesa Heyd is a researcher
in the Developmental Cell Biology Laboratory in FLENI, Argentina.
Her research duties involve animal and human Embryonic Stem Cell
culture and differentiation in dopamine neurons. She employs techniques
including tissue culture, immuno-cytochemistry, RT-PCR, determinations
by spectrophotometry, western blot, etc.
Vanesa received
her MD and PhD (Medicine and Surgery) degrees from the National
University of Cordoba, Argentina. Her thesis research involved
the relationship between E-cadheri and expression (CAMs) and Polyunsaturated
Fatty Acids (GLA, EPA, ETA) in a metastatic tumoral process.

Projects: Generation of Dopaminergic neurons from human ES cells;
Spinal cord injury and OBE ensheathing cells.
